Cheer, Cheer and more Cheer
Today was very exciting for the females in the Kearley household. Brittney had her first cheerleading competition of the year!! It's always exciting for her when she gets to dress up in her uniform AND put on tons of hideous makeup AND get her hair done with crazy hairbows. She's SUCH a girly girl!!!
On the downside is the fact that we had to be totally dressed and ready at 8 a.m. this morning. (and the convention center we competed at was about 45 minutes away!) So, I got up at 5 a.m. this morning because it was literally going to take me an hour to get her ready. I don't even get up that early during the week, but for my daughter...I'll do it with no hesitation.
Thankfully I didn't have to drag the boys out to the sea of glitter and loud music....they wouldn't have made it all day. (Thanks Nana for watching them...........)
I'm happy to say that their team did SOOO good, especially for their first showing of the year. They are, however, in the most competitive and the most popular division....small Jr. Prep team. So, the teams are usually REALLY good. They ended up placing 4th out of 5 teams. But they were really excited about it...there weren't any tears or any drama about that. They just know they need to work harder now. If there was a division for "cutest uniform", they would have won HANDS DOWN!!! Our girls looked GREAT out there.
Here's Ms. Brittney with one of her BFF......... Lexi.
The parents were all there to support the girls but not looking forward to OUR upcoming practice this week. Steve couldn't make it b/c of other obligations but will attend the other TWO we have for the month .... when it rains it pours!!!
